Aproximaciones filosóficas a la dicotomía ciencia - religión en la civilización tecnológica

Abstract

La humanidad se encuentra ante una encrucijada moral que se fundamenta en la necesidad de preservar la vida de las generaciones futuras ante los riesgos inciertos de la tecnociencia. El ensayo centra su atención en los problemas históricos, sociales y filosóficos propios del desarrollo de la ciencia como institución ante los asuntos de la moral y la religión. Las reflexiones dejan ver que la evolución y escalamiento en el uso de tecnologías y sistemas fabricados por la ciencia, se hace cada vez más invasiva contra la naturaleza, aunado al hecho de que ha acentuado la separación entre sujeto y objeto enfatizando la dicotomía entre racionalidad y creencia.

Humanity stands at a moral crossroads that is based on the need to preserve the lives of future generations in the face of the uncertain risks of technoscience. The essay focuses its attention on the historical, social and philosophical problems of the development of science as an institution in the face of moral and religious issues. The reflections show that the evolution and scaling up the use of technologies and systems manufactured by science, becomes increasingly invasive against nature, coupled with the fact that it has accentuated the separation between subject and object, emphasizing the dichotomy between rationality and belief.
