Alberto Soria en la novela Ídolos Rotos de Manuel Díaz Rodríguez

Abstract

La literatura es el espacio dispuesto en toda plenitud al hombre en función de abordar nuevas formas de visualizarlo en el mundo y la existencia; un lugar donde la imaginación se libera; en ese estado de liberación le es realizable todo lo querido, soñado e imaginado, incluyendo sus terrores e incapacidades, por lo que el sujeto puede revivir los momentos más signifi cativos y simbólicos de su vida, a su vez la novela Ídolos Rotos marca el regreso de Alberto Soria a su país ( Venezuela) como instancia ideológica, tras cinco años de ausencia, Soria se muestra como un sujeto que tiene conciencia de sus raíces demostrando que nada ha cambiado y que las distintas culturas forman parte de su vida, sin embargo Alberto es un sujeto que padece en silencio, evoca a sus recuerdos, a su cultura como desarraigo de la inconformidad, de cierto modo pudiera decirse que es insensible pero es una máscara de desdoblamiento para ocultar sus emociones, y así de esta manera la semiótica estudia los mecanismos existenciales del sujeto y su contexto mediante el discurso narrativo, permitiendo así refi gurar los recuerdos más signifi cativos de su pasado al pensar en su patria: “no pensaba en realidad sino en la imagen que de ella se había formado durante su austera vida estudiantil, imagen hermoseada y engrandecida más tarde por los recuerdos y la ausencia” (Díaz, p. 32), sin embargo es necesario indagar la vinculación existente dentro del discurso literario para establecer representaciones desde el sujeto y sus circunstancias existenciales.

Literature is the space disposed in all plenitude to man in terms of addressing new ways of visualizing it in the world and existence; a place where imagination is liberated; In that state of liberation everything that is wanted, dreamed and imagined is realizable, including its terrors and incapacities, so that the subject can relive the most signifi cant and symbolic moments of his life, in turn the novel Ídolos Rotos marks the return of Alberto Soria to his country (Venezuela) as an ideological instance, after fi ve years of absence, Soria is shown as a subject who is aware of his roots showing that nothing has changed and that different cultures are part of his life, however Alberto is a subject who suffers in silence, evokes his memories, his culture as a rootlessness of nonconformity, in a way could be said to be insensitive but is a mask of unfolding to hide his emotions, and thus semiotics studies the mechanisms of the subject and its context through the narrative discourse, thus allowing to refi gure the most signifi cant memories of his past when thinking about his patron ia: “I did not think in reality but in the image that had been formed during her austere student life, image beautifi ed and enlarged later by memories and absence” (Díaz, p. 32), however it is necessary to investigate the link existing within the literary discourse to establish representations from the subject and his existential circumstances.
