dc.descriptionA review of the two great pandemics in the last hundred years is presented: the Spanish Flu and COVID19. Epidemiological differences are compared, except for the limitation of the data in 1918/1919. The similarities between the two pandemics are highlighted. In the origins of each one of them. The health responses and the resources they had and generated. But also the psycho-social consequences of each one of them. The unequal, inequitable impact on human societies according to their cultural and economic characteristics. Finally, a reflection is made about the strengths and limitations of today's society, and the importance of historical contributions in the analysis of pandemics.en-US
dc.descriptionSe presenta una revisión de las dos grandes pandemias en los últimos cien años: la Gripe Española y COVID19. Se comparan las diferencias epidemiológicas, hacienda la salvedad de la limitación de los datos en 1918/1919. Se resaltan las semejanzas entre las dos pandemias. En los orígenes de cada una de ellas. Las respuestas sanitarias y los recursos con que contaron y que generaron. Pero También las consecuencias psico sociales de cada una de ellas. La repercusión desigual, inequitativa, en las sociedades humanas según sus características culturales y económicas. En fin, se hace una reflexión acerca de las fortalezas y limitaciones de la Sociedad actual, y la importancia de los aportes históricos en el análisis de las pandemias.es-ES
