| dc.description | Desde los albores de la Humanidad la Medicina trató de dar un alivio al sufrimiento humano. Cuidar la salud y la vida, exige talento y vocación. La vocación es una íntima convicción, mucho más que una decisión intelectual, es un sentimiento profundo que se origina en el área de las emociones. El humanismo es una actitud ante la vida, que se tiene o se carece, pero que difícilmente pueda enseñarse o aprenderse. La vocación debe sortear obstáculos que comienzan en la universidad, continúan en la Residencia y terminan en el sistema sanitario. Deben superarse el individualismo, la competitividad y del pregrado, como también las injusticias sufridas en la Residencia, originada por la estructura verticalista. Finalmente, las condiciones de trabajo terminarán atentando contra la vocación y el humanismo. Si el sistema explota al médico pervierte su vocación. Podría convertir la Medicina en un oficio, al profesional en un mero técnico y al paciente en un usuario. Sin Humanismo no habrá Medicina y sin Vocación no habrá Humanismo. | es-ES |
| dc.description | Since the dawn of Humanity, Medicine has tried to alleviate human suffering. Taking care of health and life requires talent and vocation. Vocation is an intimate conviction, much more than an intellectual decision, it is a deep feeling that originates in the area of emotions. Humanism is an attitude towards life, which one has or lacks, but which can hardly be taught or learned. The vocation must overcome obstacles that begin at the university, continue in the Residence and end in the health system. Individualism, competitiveness and undergraduate must be overcome, as well as the injustices suffered in the Residence, caused by the vertical structure. Finally, the working conditions will end up attacking the vocation and humanism. If the system exploits the doctor, it perverts his vocation. It could turn Medicine into a trade, the professional into a mere technician and the patient into a user. Without Humanism there will be no Medicine and without Vocation there will be no Humanism. | en-US |
