| dc.description | The purpose of this research was to analyze Occupational Safety and Health Management among university teaching staff in private institutions. The methodology used was documentary with a descriptive phase. The design was bibliographic, non-experimental, and cross-sectional. Documentary observation and legal hermeneutics were used as analytical techniques, and triangulation was applied. The instrument used was an in-depth interview with key informants from private university institutions in Maracaibo, Zulia State. As a result, the key informants stated that the university institutions comply with occupational safety and health management; however, efforts should be made to further consolidate these practices in order to minimize risks through prevention. In this sense, the current practices are only moderately aligned with the demands of the environment, due to the lack of knowledge among teaching staff on the subject. | dc.description | La presente investigación tuvo como propósito Analizar la Gestión de Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional en el Personal Docente Universitario en instituciones privadas. La metodología utilizada fue de tipo documental con fase descriptiva. El diseño fue bibliográfico, no experimental, transeccional. Utilizando como técnicas de análisis la observación documental, la hermenéutica jurídica y aplicando la triangulación, el instrumento utilizado fue una entrevista a profundidad dirigido a informantes claves de instituciones universitarias privadas de Maracaibo Estado Zulia. Como resultado los informantes claves manifestaron que las instituciones universitarias dan cumplimiento a la gestión de seguridad y salud laboral, no obstante; se debe buscar consolidar aún más en pro de minimizar los riesgos mediante la prevención, en tal sentido; se encuentra medianamente acordes a las exigencias del entorno, en virtud del desconocimiento por parte del personal docente, sobre el tema en cuestión, por lo que se deben aplicar medidas tendientes a garantizar la seguridad y salud ocupacional, siendo un derecho irrestricto de los trabajadores plasmado en la normativa existente, todo ello en beneficio de los trabajadores, para proteger su integridad física, dado que estos ; se encuentran expuestos a factores de riesgos ocupacionales constantemente, por la labor que realizan, se exponen a factores biológicos tales como virus, bacterias, enfermedades infectocontagiosas, parásitos, entre otros. | es |
