dc.descriptionEl objetivo de este artículo es abordar el tema de la prospectiva como herramienta complementaria del proceso de planificación en las organizaciones, para lo cual se hace una actividad interpretativa para captar el significado del constructo prospectiva, su origen, tipos, características y como herramienta de apoyo al proceso de la planificación y toma de decisiones. Apoyado en una metodología documental de corte hermenéutico, que permitió ampliar, profundizar el tema y facilitar su posterior análisis.La reflexión acerca Del análisis de las fuentes nos lleva a confirmar que la prospectiva es una herramienta de construcción de propuestas, agendas o proyectos de futuros, basada en el pensamiento complejo y sistémico, apoyado en la ciencia, de carácter adaptativo, en su evolución ha ganado un status relevante en la toma de decisiones, actualmente representa un complemento del proceso de planificación.El recurso humano que forma parte de la organización juega un papel relevante, los tomadores de decisiones no pueden ser mentalmente de corto plazo, deben tener visión de futuro, de anticipar, innovar y de motivar, se requiere entonces de inversión y desarrollo de este atributo organizacional para enfrentar la incertidumbre del futuro. Abstract The objective of this article is to address the issue of prospective as a complementary tool to the planning process in organizations, for which an interpretive activity is carried out to capture the meaning of the prospective construct, its origin, types, characteristics, and as a support tool, to the planning and decision-making process. Supported by a documentary methodology of a hermeneutic nature, which allowed to expand, deepen the subject and facilitate its subsequent analysis. Foresight is a tool for building proposals, agendas or future projects, based on complex and systemic thinking, supported by science, of an adaptive nature, in its evolution it has gained relevant status in decision-making, currently it represents a supplement to the planning process. The human resources that are part of the organization play a relevant role, decision makers cannot be mentally short-term, they must have a vision of the future, to anticipate, innovate and motivate, investment and development of this attribute are then required organization to face the uncertainty of the future.
