dc.descriptionEl  tema de la formación de docentes en Tecnologías de  la Información y Comunicación (TIC) en Venezuela, será analizado con  apoyo  en  cuatro  ejes  esenciales:  el  análisis de las oportunidades ofrecidas por las TIC  en  este  contexto, la reflexión acerca de las limitaciones o problemas existentes en el marco del proceso de inserción de las TIC a las instituciones educativas, la descripción de algunos desarrollos  locales en el área y, finalmente, el análisis de los desafíos que este proceso plantea y algunas  recomendaciones  para acompañar su evolución.  Abstract.The topic of teacher training in Information and Communication  Technologies  (ICT) in Venezuela  will  be analyzed  with  the  help  of  four  essential  approaches:  the analysis of the opportunities offered by the ICT in this context,  the discussion about the existing limitations or problems in the insertion process of  the ICT in educational  institutions, the description  of  some  local developments  in  this  area and, finally,  the analysis of the challenges that  this process faces and some recommendations  on  how  to  accompany its evolution.es-ES
