dc.descriptionSe presentan los hallazgos de un estudio exploratorio que recolectó, electrónicamente, la opinión sobre la situación de la evaluación psicológica en la realidad profesional y académica, de 308 psicólogos en 23 ciudades de Venezuela. Incluye justificación, objetivos, elaboración del instrumento, descripción de la muestra, resumen de la opinión de los informantes sobrela formación profesional, su utilidad para el ejercicio y toma de decisiones profesionales. Describe la práctica de la evaluación psicológica relativa al contexto laboral, población atendida, instrumentos utilizados, limitaciones, ajustes, diseño de pruebas e investigación. Señala perspectivas y concluye con sugerencias para fortalecer la evaluación psicológica y apertura de línea de investigación tendente a la vinculación entre formación, ejercicioprofesional, investigación y actividad gremial para fortalecer la práctica de la evaluación psicológica. PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT IN VENEZUELA: CURRENT STATUSAbstractFindings are presented from an exploratory study which collectedpsychologists’ opinion (N=308), electronically, about the status ofpsychological assessment in professional and academic reality in 23 Venezuelan cities. The study includes a justification, the objectives, the development of the instrument, the description of the sample, a summary of informants’opinions about vocational training and its usefulness to exerting and making professional decisions. It also describes the practice of psychological assessment in the work context, the population took intoconsideration, the instruments used, the limitations, the adjustments, the tests and research design. It indicates perspectives and concludes offering suggestions for strengthening the psychological assessment and for openinga line of inquiry that tends to link the training, professional practice, research and union activities for strengthening the exertion of psychological assessment.es-ES
