dc.descriptionA study of A. Kenny (1969) about the divine knowledge of contingent futures as thought by Thomas Aquinas, opened a series of discussions which extended to the 90s. The point is determining whether the position of Aquinas about the contingents futures is logically coherent or not. Also, if it is right to say that Aquinas is a determinist, calling in question of human freedom. The interpretation of several contemporary writers: R. Mulligan, M. Baumer, V. Ferrari, L. Barry, B. Shanley, W.L. Craig and B. Leftow are thoroughly studied in here. Some of them are in favor of the thomistic view; others are more critical, and every one of them gives a peculiar interpretation to the subject. In the end, a tentative of synthetical interpretation is proposed, bearin in mind the status questionis, and trying to follow closely the thought of Aquinas.en-US
dc.descriptionUn estudio a A. Kenny (1969) sobre la ciencia divina del futuro contingente según Tomás de Aquino, provocó una serie de disputas que se extiende a la década de los 90. El punto es determinar si la postura de Aquinate sobre los futuros contingentes es coherente o no lógicamente, y si se pueden atribuir a este autor posturas deterministas que pongan en tela de juicio la libertad del hombre. Se estudian las líneas interpretativas de varios autores contemporáneos: R. Mulligan, M. Baumer, V. Ferrari, L. Barry, B. Shanley, W.L. Craig y B. Leftow. Algunos están a favor de la teoría tomista, otros se muestran más críticos, y cada quien da una interpretación peculiar a la cuestión. Al final se propone un intento de interpretación sintética, tomando en cuenta el estado de la cuestión, y tratando de seguir muy de cerca el pensamietno de Aquinate.es-ES
