dc.descriptionResumen:La iglesia de San Francisco es un ícono dentro de la historia religiosa, política y social de Caracas. La tesis del presente trabajo trata de demostrar que la Orden Tercera franciscana de Caracas es la auténtica propietaria de la capilla que lleva su nombre y de los locales comerciales sobre los que se levanta la residencia actual de los jesuitas. Pero más allá de este planteamiento también le da un extraordinario valor el estudio documental exegético que acompaña la investigación. Desde el año 1634 se puede seguir la evolución de la propiedad y la forma de administración de sus bienes. La parte final del proceso la escriben el convenio entre la curia arzobispal y la Orden Tercera y posteriormente el convenio con la curia arzobispal y los jesuitas.Palabras clave: Iglesia de San Francisco. Orden Tercera. Curia arzobispal. Franciscanos. Jesuitas.Abstract:The Church of San Francisco is an icon in the religious, political and social history of Caracas. The thesis of this paper tries to show that the Franciscan third order in Caracas is the authentic owner of the chapel which bears his name and business premises on which rises the current residence of the Jesuits. But beyond this approach also Exegetical documentary study accompanying the research gives you an extraordinary value.  From the year 1634 you can follow the evolution of the property and how to manage their assets. The final part of the process the written agreement between the Archbishop's curia and the order third and later the Convention with the Archbishop's curia and the Jesuits.Key words: Church of San Francisco.
