dc.descriptionResumen: Hace más de doscientos años que murió el abate aragonés, Vicente Requeno (Calatorao, 1743-Tívoli, 1811). Ante el riesgo de que pase desapercibida la importante contribución teórica de este estudioso obsesionado por el mito de la perfección clásica, presentamos sus rasgos bio-bliográficos, haciendo hincapié en sus estudios sobre la música de los griegos y romanos.Palabras clave: Vicente Requeno, encausto, música grecolatina, jesuitas expulsos, telegrafía óptica.Abstract:The Aragonese abbot, Vicente Requeno (Calatorao, 1743-Tivoli, 1811) died two hundred years ago. Because of the risk of going unnoticed the valuable theoretical contribution of this scholar truly obsessed by the myth about classical perfection, we present his bio-bibliographical outlines, emphasizing his studies on the ancient greek and roman music.
