dc.descriptionResumen:En este artículo analizo el concepto de nación a partir de la coyuntura académica del año 1983 en que se publican los principales estudios que marcan una ruta metodológica para hacer comprensibles las más diversas configuraciones nacionales. Destaco los casos de América introduciendo además la relación entre nación y fronteras en función al análisis de la construcción de espacios económicos. Finalmente analizo la historiografía de Perú y de México que se presentan como casos muy particulares de configuraciones nacionales cuyas raíces culturales están en el pasado colonial como lo han destacado sus propias historiografías.Palabras clave: Nación, América, fronteras, Perú, México, historiografía .Abstract:In this article, I analyze the concept of nation on the basis of the academic situation in 1983, when the first studies were published that would provide a methodological route to make the most diverse national configurations comprehensible. I highlight the cases of America also by introducing the relationship between nation and borders according to the analysis of the development of economic areas. Finally, I analyze the historiography of Peru and Mexico, both examples of very particular cases of national arrangements that are culturally rooted in their colonial past as their own historiographies have pointed out.Keywords: Nation, America, borders, Peru, Mexico, historiography.es-ES
