dc.descriptionResumen: La Séptima Conferencia Internacional Americana, sustentada en la doctrina panamericana liderada por Estados Unidos, tuvo lugar en Montevideo, Uruguay, en 1933. El fomento de la “unión solidaria” de los pueblos americanos tuvo más rostros que el estrictamente político al proponer iniciativas de modernización y progreso en todo el continente, a propósito de la identificación de “problemáticas comunes” y la propuesta de alternativas posibles. Algunas de las temáticas discutidas fueron los derechos civiles y políticos de la mujer, las condiciones de vida y de trabajo de los obreros y la enseñanza de la historia, entre otras.Palabras clave: Historia Siglo XX, América latina, Relaciones diplomáticas, Séptima Conferencia Americana, 1933.Abstract: The Seventh International American Conference centered on the Panamerican doctrine and led by the United States, took place in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1933. The furtherance of “shared aims” of the American states had more than political substance as there were propositions of initiatives in modernization and progress for all the continent, with respect for the identification of “common problems” and the proposal of possible alternatives. Some of the themes discussed were civil rights and women’s politics, living and working conditions for workers, and the teaching of history, amongst others.Keywords: History of the 20th century, Latin America, diplomatic relations, Seventh International American Conference, 1933.es-ES
