dc.descriptionResumen: Desde algunos testimonios de época, este estudio intenta rescatar un acontecimiento del pasado indígena conocido como la rebelión de los makiritare. A partir de relatos documentarios y míticos, se hace un seguimiento de las consecuencias que en la etnia Ye’kuana tuvieron los contactos con españoles a partir de 1740.Palabras clave: Historia de Guayana, siglo XVIII, rebelión de los makiritare.Abstract:Using documentary sources from the period, this study attempts the rescue of a past indigenous feat known as the Rebellion of Makiritare. The consequences for the Ye’kuana that followed after their first contact with the Spanish in 1740 are constructed from a series of Spanish reports and the mythical narration of the tribe.Key words: History of Guayana, 18th century, the rebellion of the Makiritare.es-ES
