dc.descriptionResumen:El 16 de julio de 2019 falleció el jesuita Manuel Revuelta González, uno de los mejores historiadores de la Iglesia española contemporánea y de la Compañía de Jesús española del siglo XIX. Con este motivo presentamos un estudio bio-bibliográfico de su persona y obra. Perfilamos los rasgos de su carácter mostrándose humilde y generoso con los estudiantes, historiadores en formación, y con otros muchos colegas, mediante centenares de reseñas y más de 80 prólogos, como autoridad en la historia de la Iglesia española. Analizamos los tres campos temáticos de su historiografía: la historia de la Iglesia de España (con especial atención al siglo XIX); la historia de la Compañía de Jesús en la edad contemporánea y la historia de Palencia.Palabras clave: Manuel Revuelta, Historia de la Compañía de Jesús, Exclaustración, Universidad Comillas, Trienio Liberal.English Title:Manuel Revuelta, an exemplary Historian of the Jesus Company. In MemoriamAbstract:On July 16, 2019, Jesuit Manuel Revuelta González, one of the best historians of the Spanish contemporaneous Church and the Spanish Jesuit Company of the 19th century, died. With this motive we present a bio-bibliographic study of his person and work. We outline the traits of his character by being humble and generous to students, historians in formation, and with many other colleagues, through hundreds of reviews and more than 80 prologues as authority in the history of the Spanish Church. We analyze the three thematic fields of his historiography: the history of the Church of Spain (with special attention to the 19th century); the history of the Jesus Company nowadays and the history of Palencia.Keywords: Manuel Revuelta, History of the Society of Jesus, Exclaustration, University of Comillas, Liberal Triennium.es-ES
