CALIDAD DE VIDA EN PACIENTES OBESOS ANTES Y DESPUÉS DE CIRUGÍA BARIÁTRICA

Abstract

El concepto de calidad de vida relacionada a la salud se refiere a una apreciación por parte de los sujetos acerca de su nivel actual de funcionamiento y satisfacción, comparado con el que perciben como ideal. Esta investigación estuvo dirigida a comparar la calidad de vida en pacientes obesos en pre y postoperatorio de Cirugía Bariátrica para el tercer trimestre del año 2017. Se desarrolló un estudio longitudinal, descriptivo-comparativo con un diseño de campo en la Clínica Gastrobariátrica ubicada en la ciudad de Maracay Edo. Aragua. La muestra no probabilística estuvo conformada por 20 pacientes intervenidos durante este periodo. Se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta y, como instrumento, el cuestionario de Calidad de Vida SF-36 estandarizado; los datos se analizaron mediante el programa informático (SPSS-23) que permitió el cá lculo de medidas de frecuencia para las variables cuantitativa así como el cálculo del intervalo de confianza a un 95% y la prueba de t Student variada obteniendo un valor de punto crítico +1,72 para comparar la significancia estadística con un valor p ? 0,05. Los resultados reportaron que la calidad de vida mejora notablemente en los pacientes después de cirugía bariatrica, en sus dimensiones función y rol físico, salud general y mental, vitalidad, función social y rol emocional, mientras que en la dimensión dolor corporal este persiste durante el postoperatorio. Se concluye que la calidad de vida es significativamente mejor en los pacientes después de la cirugía.

The concept of life quality related to health refers to an appreciation by the subjects about their current level of performance and satisfaction, compared with that perceived as the ideal. This research was conducted to compare the quality of life in obese patients in pre and post-operation of Bariatric Surgery for the third quarter of the year 2017. A longitudinal, descriptive-comparative study was developed with a field design, and it was held at the Gastro-bariatric clinic located in the city of Maracay - Aragua state. The population was comprised by 20 patients during this period. The survey technique was used and, as an instrument, a standardized SF-36 Quality of Life questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the computer program (SPSS-23) which enabled the calculation of quantitative variables frequency of descriptive measures, as well as the calculation of the interval confidence at 95% and varied to obtain student t test a critical point + 1.72 value to compare the statistical significance with a value p >0.05. Results: the quality of life improved in patients after Bariatric Surgery, related to dimensions, function and physical role; general and mental health, vitality, social function and emotional role. Meanwhile, according to the body pain dimension, this prevails during the postoperative period. Conclusion: the quality of life is significantly better in patients after surgery.
