dc.descriptionIf we assume that education is a human right, the State has an obligation to ensure equal access to education at all levels. In this regard, governments should offer alternatives for the population to have access to it. This alternative may be the elicitation Distance, offering low cost, massification and democratization, quality education and excellence. The purpose of this test is to make a thoughtful contribution that nurtures the realm of ideas, as to the salient differences between distance learning and conventional; the role of advisers and students; advisory skills and conditions; distance learner characteristics; and the scientific contribution of research in distance education, distance education showing that meets and has educational skills to form human resources avant-garde with the demands of today's society.en-US
dc.descriptionSi partimos del hecho de que la educación es un derecho humano, el Estado tiene la obligación de garantizar el acceso equitativo al Sistema Educativo en todos sus niveles.  En tal sentido, los gobiernos deben ofrecer alternativas para que la población tenga acceso a ella. Esta alternativa puede ser la Educación a Distancia, que ofrece bajo costo, masificación y democratización, con una educación de calidad y excelencia. El objetivo del presente ensayo es hacer un aporte reflexivo que nutra el campo de las ideas, en cuanto a las diferencias más sobresalientes entre la modalidad a distancia y la convencional; el rol de asesores y estudiantes;  habilidades y condiciones del asesor; características del estudiante a distancia; y el aporte científico de las investigaciones en la EaD,  demostrando  que la EaD reúne y tiene las competencias  educativas para formar  recurso humano de vanguardia,  con  las exigencias de la sociedad  de hoy. es-ES
