dc.descriptionThe purpose of this research was to analyze the use of information and communication technologies by secondary school students. The theoretical contributions of Creswell and Poth (2018), Morrissey (2011), Burbules and Callister (2001), Flick (2018), and Sarasola (2024), among others, were used. The paradigm employed was post-positivist with a qualitative approach and a phenomenological method. The key informants were eight (8) secondary school students from the Mi Ángel de la Guarda Educational Unit, located in the city of Cabimas, Zulia State, whose ages ranged from 12 to 17 years. The data collection technique was in-depth interviews, and the analysis techniques were triangulation and categorization. The findings showed that information and communication technologies used by middle school students have the potential to foster personalized and active methodologies, such as inclusive education or project-based learning, that are better suited to the varied needs of middle school students.en-US
dc.descriptionEl propósito de la presente investigación fue analizar el uso de las tecnologías de información y comunicación por parte de los estudiantes de educación media. Se utilizaron los aportes teóricos de Creswell y Poth (2018), Morrissey (2011), Burbules y Callister (2001), Flick (2018) y Sarasola, (2024), entre otros. El paradigma utilizado fue el postpositivista con enfoque cualitativo, método fenomenológico. Los informantes clave estuvieron representados por ocho (08) estudiantes de media general de la Unidad Educativa Mi ángel de la guarda, ubicada en la Ciudad de Cabimas, Estado Zulia, cuyas edades están comprendidas entre 12 y 17 años. La técnica de recolección de información fue la entrevista en profundidad y las técnicas de análisis fueron la triangulación y categorización. Los hallazgos arrojaron que las tecnologías de información y comunicación por parte de los estudiantes de educación media, tienen el potencial de fomentar metodologías personalizadas y activas, como la educación inclusiva o el aprendizaje basado en proyectos, que se adecuen mejor a las variadas necesidades de los alumnos de educación media.es-ES
