dc.descriptionPituitary tumors represent the most common cause of intracranial neoplasms; In this sense, a tumor registration system represents an essential monitoring tool, understood as a very useful element in charge of collecting, storing, analyzing and interpreting data from patients with this type of neoplasm, and thus provide continuous and updated information on their behavior and handling. This work was based on the feasible project methodology in order to develop an instrument that allows a simple and rapid record of the clinical, epidemiological, diagnostic and therapeutic characteristics of patients with pituitary tumors who attend the Endocrinology Service of the TCentro Médico Docente La Trinidad, as an initial step for a single registry at the national level that allows integrating knowledge and analyzing the quality of care of the different specialized centers. An interface with online access on the Google Form platform was designed, into account the Relevant clinical and epidemiological characteristics in each case, as well as the hormonal status and the diagnostic and therapeutic methods used, subsequently carrying out a pilot test to evaluate the feasibility of the project. Summarizing what has been raised, the application of ICT in medicine allows to promote the knowledge that is acquired through the observation of a phenomenon, since it allows integrating the experience of various centers in order to guarantee adequate management from the diagnostic point of view and therapeutic of diverse pathologies, emphasizing in this case in the pituitary tumors.en-US
dc.descriptionLos tumores de hipófisis representan la causa más frecuente de neoplasias intracraneales; en este sentido, un sistema de registro de tumores representa una herramienta indispensable de monitoreo, entendiéndose como un elemento de gran utilidad encargado de recoger, almacenar, analizar e interpretar datos de pacientes con este tipo de neoplasias, y así brindar información continua y actualizada sobre su comportamiento y manejo. Este trabajo se basó en la metodología de proyecto factible a fin de elaborar un instrumento que permita registrar de forma sencilla y rápida las caracterizar clínica, epidemiológicas, diagnósticas y terapéuticas, de pacientes con tumores de hipófisis que acuden al Servicio de Endocrinología del Centro Médico Docente La Trinidad, siendo este el paso inicial para un registro único a nivel nacional que permita integrar el conocimiento y analizar la calidad de atención de los distintos centros especializados. Se diseñó una interfaz con acceso online en plataforma de Google Form,  tomando en cuenta las características clínicas y epidemiológicas relevantes en cada caso, así como el estado hormonal y los métodos diagnósticos y terapéuticos utilizados, llevándose a cabo posteriormente una prueba piloto para evaluar la factibilidad del proyecto. La aplicación de la TIC en la medicina permite impulsar el conocimiento que se adquiere a través de la observación de un fenómeno, puesto que permite integrar la experiencia de diversos centros en pro de garantizar un adecuado manejo desde el punto de vista diagnóstico y terapéutico de diversas patologías, haciendo énfasis en este caso en los tumores hipofisarios.es-ES
