dc.descriptionThe Centro Médico Docente La Trinidad (CMDLT) is an integrated, multidisciplinary, top- quality health care, management, and academic institution made up by a human resources team identified with and committed to ethical and moral values and social conviction whose activities are developed under a sustainable, non-profit care model at local and regional level and is organized by different medical specialties to respond to the needs of the community and oriented towards the development of educational and research programs in health and community medicine. For 55 years, the institution has made contributions to three main areas: social programs, research, and education. In the area of education, the CMDLT offers 10 care residency programs (graduate training) and more than 20 professional development programs. As expected, each of these academic programs is supported both by research and the search for the acquisition of new scientific knowledge that may be beneficial in the treatment of our patients. These projects are presented annually at the institution's scientific conferences. Many of these research projects have received recognition and awards both nationally and internationally and have been published by different scientific journals. The natural growth of academic opportunities and research projects has led us to create a scientific journal as a means of dissemination that meets the most demanding standards: The “Revista Científica Centro Médico Docente La Trinidad”. Our  journal’s Editorial Committee is made up by prestigious national personalities and   performs in accordance with international recommendations (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)). The journal is aimed at all health professionals, teachers, and students of medical, dental, psychological, bioanalysis and nursing specialties at national and international level. The journal will be published continuously in open-access format and will be made up by original articles, reviews, clinical cases, and epidemiological data resulting from research in health sciences. The journal includes articles on clinical sciences, surgical sciences, basic sciences, public health, applied health technology, and teaching and assistance activities. The Directorate of Education and Research is proud to present these first issues.en-US
dc.descriptionEl Centro Médico Docente La Trinidad es una institución de salud integral, multidisciplinaria, de alta calidad asistencial, gerencial y académica, con un equipo humano identificado y comprometido con los valores, éticos, morales y convicción social, con alcance local y regional, bajo un modelo asistencial organizado por especialidades médicas, sustentable y sin fines de lucro, que responde a las necesidades de la comunidad, orientado al desarrollo de programas de educación e investigación en salud y medicina comunitaria.  Desde hace 55 años, realiza aportes a tres grandes áreas: programas sociales, investigación y educación. En educación se cuenta con 10 residencias asistenciales programadas (postgrados) y más de 20 programas de perfeccionamiento profesional. Como era de esperar, cada uno de estos programas académicos están apoyados en la investigación, en búsqueda de la adquisición de nuevos conocimientos científicos que puedan ser beneficiosos en el tratamiento de nuestros pacientes. Estos trabajos son presentados anualmente en las Jornadas Científicas de la institución. Muchos de estos trabajos de investigación han recibido reconocimientos y premios, tanto a nivel nacional como a nivel internacional y han sido publicados por diferentes revistas científicas.  El crecimiento natural de las oportunidades académicas y de trabajos de investigación nos lleva a crear una revista científica como medio de divulgación, que obedezca a los más exigentes estándares: Revista Científica Centro Médico Docente La Trinidad. Esta revista cuenta con un Comité Editorial, integrado por prestigiosas personalidades nacionales apegados a las recomendaciones internacionales (Internacional Committee of Medical Journal Editors ICMJE; World Association of Medical Editors WAME ) y Committee on Publicaction Ethics COPE. Está dirigida a todos los profesionales de la salud, docentes y estudiantes, de las especialidades médicas, odontológicas, psicológicas, bioanálisis y enfermería, en el ámbito nacional e internacional. Se publicará de manera  continua, en formato de acceso abierto, artículos originales, revisiones, casos clínicos y datos epidemiológicos producto de investigaciones en ciencias de la salud. Incluye artículos de ciencias clínicas, ciencias quirúrgicas, ciencias básicas, salud pública, tecnología aplicada a salud, actividad docente y asistencial.  Para la Dirección de Educación e Investigación es un orgullo presentar estos primeros números. es-ES
