dc.descriptionProstate cancer is an entity that represents the leading cause of cancer death in men in the world, in Venezuela in 2021 it ranked first in cancer mortality with 3,792 deaths. Through a retrospective cross-sectional analytical observational study, 79 MRI studies of patients from the Radiology Service of the CMDLT were reviewed. On average, the sensitivity of the reports according to SCORE PI-RADS v2.1, at the Centro Medico Docente la Trinidad obtained a sensitivity and negative predictive value of 91% with a specificity of 77% and an average positive predictive value of 72.6%, comparable with the international literature, however the interobserver variability index showed variability through the Kappa Fleiss with low concordance given by a value of 0.28. More studies are required in the line of research to determine the causes of interobserver variability in the use of the PI-RADS v2.1 score. One of the recommendations could correspond to the use of double reading systems in order to reduce the margin of variability.en-US
dc.descriptionEl cáncer de próstata es una entidad que representa la primera causa de muerte por cáncer en hombres en el mundo, en Venezuela en el año 2021 ocupó el primer lugar por mortalidad  por cáncer con 3.792 fallecidos. Mediante un estudio observacional analítico transversal retrospectivo se revisaron 79 estudios de resonancia magnética de pacientes del Servicio de Radiología del CMDLT.  En promedio la sensibilidad de los reportes según el SCORE PI-RADS v2.1, en el Centro Médico Docente La Trinidad obtuvo una sensibilidad y valor predictivo negativo de 91% con una especificidad de 77% y valor predictivo positivo promedio de 72,6%, equiparable con la literatura internacional, sin embargo el índice de variabilidad interobservador demostró una variabilidad a través del Kappa Fleiss con baja concordancia dada por un valor de 0,28. Se requieren más estudios en la línea de investigación para determinar causas de la variabilidad interobservador en la utilización del score PI-RADS v2.1. Una de las recomendaciones pudiera corresponder a la utilización de sistemas de doble lectura para así disminuir el margen de variabilidad.es-ES
