dc.descriptionThe care of patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus will always be categorized as a medical challenge, in view of the complexity of its management and facing situations of various kinds, which range from achieving a reduction in glycemia values ​​and maintaining them within previously established goals, as well as as the integration of the diet. However, all this is possible thanks to the integration of the patient with a multidisciplinary team that favors achieving these goals. Each of the patients living with type 1 diabetes mellitus carry high costs for their pharmacological management, since the absolute deficiency of insulin makes the acquisition of optimal drugs often deficient. When we comprehensively analyze the patients, we can realize that their psychosocial environment is involved in a better metabolic control, it is for this reason that each one of the patients must go to consultations with: Clinical nutrition, education in diabetes and psychology in addition to the consult with the endocrinologist or specialist in diabetes. At the La Trinidad Teaching Medical Center, in the Endocrinology service, we carried out this retrospective study where we found that the patients who attended the multidisciplinary management consultations during the period of January 2021 and January 2022, had a reduction not only in paraclinical values ​​of Blood glucose and A1c, but also associated acute and chronic complications. Therefore, it was compared with international studies and we found that all patients can have metabolic control using this care sequence.en-US
dc.descriptionLa atención de los pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 1 siempre será categorizado como un reto médico, en vista de lo complejo de su manejo y enfrentarse a situaciones de diversas índoles, que va desde lograr reducir valores de glicemias y mantenerlos en metas previamente establecidas, así como la integración de la dieta. Sin embargo, todo esto se hace posible gracias a la integración del paciente con un equipo multidisciplinario que favorece alcanzar dichas metas. Cada uno de los pacientes que viven con diabetes mellitus tipo 1 acarrean altos costos para su manejo farmacológico, ya que la deficiencia absoluta de insulina, hace que la adquisición de fármacos óptimos muchas veces sea deficiente. Cuando analizamos de forma integral a los pacientes, podemos darnos cuentas que su entorno psicosocial intervienen en un mejor control metabólico, es por esa razón que cada uno de los pacientes deben acudir a consultas con: Nutrición clínica, educación en diabetes y psicología además de la consulta con el médico endocrinólogo o especialista en diabetes. En el Centro Médico Docente La Trinidad, en el servicio de Endocrinología realizamos este estudio de tipo retrospectivo donde encontramos que los pacientes que acudían a las consultas de manejo multidisciplinario durante el periodo de Enero 2021 y enero 2022, tuvieron reducción no solo de valores paraclínicos de Glucemia y A1c, sino también de complicaciones agudas y crónicas asociadas. Por lo que se comparó con estudios internacionales y encontramos que todo paciente puede tener un control metabólico utilizando esta secuencia de atención.es-ES
