dc.descriptionIntroduction At present, a large number of patients who attend the consultation present clinical characteristics of dental wear, and the general dentist can sometimes choose full coverage crowns as treatment. Thanks to the development and studies of adhesive systems, this type of restoration has been chosen by clinicians to treat these cases, since it allows them to opt for minimally invasive and conservative dentistry. It also allows to rehabilitate the vertical dimension and occlusal relationship of the patient, since the main objective must be to return the occlusal function. Purpose: To analyze oral rehabilitation with adhesive restorations in patients with severe dental wear. Materials and methods: An electronic search of scientific information was carried out in: PubMed and ScienceDirect. Selection criteria; articles from the last fifteen years, types of studies such as systematic reviews, theses, literary reviews, and case reports. Conclusions: Indeed, treatments with adhesive restorations in patients with severe dental wear have different techniques, to simplify the planning and execution of oral rehabilitation. It is a rehabilitation treatment that extends the life of the tooth, and has successful, functional and aesthetic results. Where the rehabilitation of the vertical dimension, anterior guidance, and dental harmony is achieved.en-US
dc.descriptionIntroducción En la actualidad un gran número de pacientes que asisten a la consulta presentan características clínicas de desgaste dental, y el odontólogo general en ocasiones puede escoger como tratamiento coronas de recubrimiento completo. Gracias al desarrollo y estudios de los sistemas adhesivos, este tipo de restauraciones ha sido escogido por los clínicos para tratar estos casos, ya que les permite optar por una odontología mínimamente invasiva y conservadora. También permite rehabilitar la dimensión vertical y relación oclusal del paciente, ya que el objetivo principal debe ser devolver la función oclusal. Objetivos: Analizar la rehabilitación oral con restauraciones adhesivas en pacientes con desgastes dentales severos. Materiales y métodos: Se realizó la búsqueda electrónica de información científica en: PubMed y ScienceDirect. Criterios de selección; artículos de los últimos quince años, tipos de estudios tales como revisiones sistemáticas, tesis, revisiones literarias, y reportes de casos. Conclusiones: En efecto, los tratamientos con restauraciones adhesivas en pacientes con desgaste dental severo cuentan con diferentes técnicas, para simplificar la planificación y ejecución de la rehabilitación oral. Es un tratamiento rehabilitador que alarga la vida del diente, y tiene resultados exitosos, funcionales y estéticos. Donde se logra el rehabilitar la dimensión vertical, guía anterior, y la armonía dental.es-ES
