dc.descriptionBackground: In restorative dentistry there are different materials available when deciding the ideal prosthetic treatment for the patient, which means that it becomes necessary to have substantial knowledge of the protocols and techniques indicated at the time of rehabilitation. Each material has a particular composition and properties, as well as, it is necessary to take into account the surface to which it must adhere; all this requires a different protocol. Purpose: the objective of the present study was specifying the differences between the adhesive protocols in permanent ceramic restorations of lithium disilicate and zirconium restorations. Materials and Methods: This research focused on conducting a systematic review, and the search was carried out through the search engines PubMed, Scielo, ResearchGate, ScienceDirect and Google Scholar. Results: A total of 15 articles were obtained that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Conclusions:  it is concluded that, in the case of zirconium, microsanding with aluminium particles and self-adhesive cement is often the one of choice. On the other hand, in the case of lithium disilicate, etching with hydrofluoric acid and self-adhesive cement is the most suitable. Finally, it is important to recognize that, in the case of not using an adhesion protocol, there is the possibility that the necessary quality controls are not met, making the restoration a failure, being able to fractured or damaged. anyway. en-US
dc.descriptionAntecedentes: En la odontología restauradora existen diferentes materiales disponibles a la hora de decidir el tratamiento protésico ideal para el paciente, lse torna necesario tener conocimiento sustancial de los protocolos y técnicas indicadas al momento de rehabilitar. Cada material cuenta con una composición y propiedad particular, a su vez se debe tomar en cuenta la superficie a la cuál este se debe adherir; todo esto exige un protocolo diferente. Propósito:  El objetivo del presente estudio fue especificar las diferencias entre los protocolos adhesivos en restauraciones cerámicas definitivas de disilicato de litio y restauraciones de zirconio. Materiales y métodos:  Esta investigación se enfocó en realizar una revisión sistemática, y la búsqueda se realizó a través de los buscadores PubMed, Scielo, ResearchGate, ScienceDirect y Google Académico. Resultados: Se obtuvieron un total de 15 artículos que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Conclusiones: en el  zirconio, el microarenado con partículas de aluminio y el cemento autoadhesivo es a menudo el de elección. Por otro lado, el disilicato de litio, el grabado con ácido fluorhídrico y  cemento autoadhesivo es el más adecuado. Es importante reconocer que, en el caso de no emplear un protocolo de adhesión, existe la posibilidad de que no se cumplan con los controles de calidad necesarios, haciendo que la restauración sea un fracaso, pudiendo fracturarse o dañarse de cualquier forma. es-ES
