¿Retorno de la religión en la Filosofía actual?

Abstract

La religión parece ser uno de los temas que marcan la reflexión filosófica contemporánea. Igualmente asistimos a la manifestación de fenómenos que tienen un fondo religioso: son las prácticas orientales como el yoga, taichí, feng shui, pero también las expresiones mediáticas y trágicas del fanatismo y fundamentalismo presentes en los últimos conflictos globales. Este contexto parece indicar que «la religión vuelve a estar de actualidad» (Trías). Filosóficamente constituye la pregunta fundamental que exploraremos aquí: ¿«Retorno» de la religión en la filosofía actual? Se podría decir que el término que mejor podría definir este fenómeno filosófico es el de «retorno»: retorno porque se trata de la vuelta de lo reprimido e inhibido durante la modernidad ilustrada, pero también porque constituye una línea propia del pensamiento filosófico actual. En este sentido, podríamos definir esta investigación como un esbozo del statu quo de esta vislumbrada vuelta del tema religioso en el pensamiento contemporáneo. Así, pues, ofreceremos una interpretación que parte de la secularización como fenómeno de la Edad Moderna ilustrada que, sin embargo, en el contexto actual de «modernidad en crisis» o «posmoderno» posibilita la vuelta secularizada de la religión en la filosofía. En definitiva, esta reflexión concluirá en la afirmación de la pregunta inicial, no obstante, su importancia radica en el modo de comprenderlo

Religion seems to be one of the topics that lay down on contemporary philosophical deliberation. We also attend to the manifestation of phenomena with a religious background: oriental practices such as yoga, tai chi, feng shui, but also the media mass and tragic expressions of fanaticism and fundamentalism that are present in the latest global conflicts. This context seems to indicate that «religion is back in the news» (Trías). Philosophically, it constitutes the main question we will explore here: The «Return» of religion to current philosophy? The term that could best define this philosophical phenomenon is «return». It means the return of what was repressed and inhibited during enlightened modernity, and also because it constitutes a line of an existing philosophical thought. In this sense, we could define this research as an outline of the status quo of this glimpsed return of the religious matter to contemporary thinking. Therefore, we will offer an interpretation that starts from secularization as a phenomenon in the enlightened Modern Age that, however, in the current context of «modernity in crisis» or «postmodern» facilitates the secularized return of religion into philosophy. In the end, this deliberation will conclude as the assertion of the initial question, although, its importance lies in the way of understanding it.
