Una manifestación tradicional venezolana llamada “Vasallos de la Virgen de Candelaria”
Resumen
La presente investigación-reflexión es parte de una indagación producto del trabajo etnográfico realizado en la comunidad de “La Parroquia” (Municipio Libertador, Parroquia Juan Rodríguez Suárez, Estado Mérida, Venezuela) en los años 2010-2012, donde se analiza y reflexiona sobre la manifestación en cuestión, entre otros tópicos toca: Abordaje general del contexto socio-histórico-cultural, Aspectos fundantes de la manifestación, Partes del ritual, Dualidad matriarcado-patriarcado a partir del análisis de aspectos relacionado con la “Virgen de Candelaria”, Mitos de aparición de la Virgen, Especificidades sobre la “Fiesta” para finalizar con una descripción del ritual en general entre lo que destaca la Danza de los Vasallos por ser representación importante de su acervo cultural. The present investigation-reflection is part of an investigation product of the ethnographic work carried out in the community of "La Parroquia" (Libertador Municipality, Juan Rodríguez SuárezParish, Mérida State, Venezuela) in the years 2010-2012, where it is analyzed and reflects on the manifestation in question, among other topics touches: General approach of the socio-historical-cultural context, Fundamental aspects of the manifestation, Parts of the ritual, Matriarchy-patriarchal duality from the analysis of aspects related to the "Virgen de Candelaria", Myths of appearance of the Virgin, Specificities on the "Party" to end with a description of the ritual in general among which highlights the Dance of the Vassals for being important representation of their cultural heritage.
