Bullying en el entorno escolar

Abstract

El presente artículo es el resultado de la investigación realizada con 72 estudiantes del 8º y 9º año de la Enseñanza fundamental en Salvador-Bahia-Brasil, en el mes de febrero de 2016, sobre la ocurrencia del fenómeno bullying en el entorno educativo. En el cual se utilizó un enfoque cualitativo, incluyendo, además, algunas técnicas cuantitativas como el cuestiona- rio, pero también preguntas abiertas sobre el tema, a fin de capturar con mayor profundidad la percepción de los estudiantes. La combinación de las técnicas, en este caso, fue importante por tratarse de vivencias y actitudes acerca de uno tema subjetivo. Las prácticas más recurrentes del fenómeno, según los estudiantes, se refieren al hecho de que las principales víctimas son gordas, son o parecen homosexuales o son de color negro. La escuela fue indicada, por la mayoría de los estudiantes, como el lugar donde escucharon hablar o aprendieron sobre el tema en cuestión. The present article is the result of the research carried out with 72 students of the 8th and 9th years of Primary Education in Salvador-Bahia-Brazil, in February 2016, about the occurrence of bullying phenomenon in the educational environment. In which a qualitative approach was used, including, additionally, some quantitative techniques such as the questionnaire, but also open questions on the subject, in order to capture more deeply student’s perception. The combination of techniques, in this case, was important because those were experiences and attitudes about a subjective topic. The most recurring practices of the phenomenon, according to the students, refer to the fact that the main victims are overweight, are or look homosexual or are black. The school was indicated, by most students, as the place where they heard or learned about the subject. Most of them revealed to have witnessed the scene of bullying.
