EL PARTO ANCESTRAL Y LAS COMUNIDADES TOTÉMICAS EN EL ARTE RUPESTRE

Abstract

La presente investigación sobre las Manifestaciones Rupestres, es parte de otra más amplia relacionada con la sexología durante la prehistoria. En él se abordará el análisis de algunas grafías rupestres conocidas como partos, las cuales abundan en nuestro territorio, y su relación con los símbolos representativos de deidades tanto siderales como terrestres. En algunos casos se realizará una propuesta de significación que nos acerque a las actividades de carácter mágicoreligiosas practicadas por las comunidades étnicas que los crearon y en consecuencia produjeron conceptualmente la idea del tótem representativo del clan. Así mismo se hará un análisis de paralelismo entre estas grafías venezolanas con las registradas en el resto del continente americano, Europa, Asia y África, sin la intención directa de un análisis comparativo o de influencia cultural (asumiendo el riesgo del peligro de la extrapolación en la investigación, pero consciente que al inicio tuvimos un lenguaje común y algunos símbolos se expandieron por todo el mundo). Vale señalar que no se pudo visitar todos los sitios arqueológicos para tomar la información directamente desde los petroglifos; en consecuencia algunas grafías son analizadas fuera de su contexto natural, a través de fotografías publicadas en libros, revistas y páginas web, en las cuales los símbolos estudiados, muchas veces, están aislados del resto de las grafías que le acompañan, lo cual dificulta el acercamiento preciso al significado propuesto en la presente investigación. Motiva esta investigación el hecho de que se han localizado variadas estaciones rupestres contentivas de grabados de figuras antropomorfas en posición de parto, otras en estado de gravidez, muchas de ellas relacionadas con grabados zoomorfos o siderales que representan imágenes totémicas.

This Rock Art Manifestations research takes part from a broadest one related to the sexology during the prehistory. It will address the analysis of some Rock Art graphic symbols known as childbirths which are numerous within our territory and its relationship with the emblematic symbols from both sidereal and terrestrial deities. In some instances, a proposal of meaning will be conducted to bring us closer to the magical and religious activities created and practiced by ethnic communities who also conceptually produced the idea of the representative totem of the clan. Likewise, graphic symbols registered from the rest of the American continent, Europe, Asia, and Africa will be taken through a process of parallelism analysis against the Venezuelan graphic symbols without a direct intention of a comparative or a cultural influence analysis; assuming the risk of taking things out of context in the research, but aware that we all had a common language at the beginning and some symbols were spread all over the world without any further variation in some cases. It is important to note that due a current lack of mobilization capacity it was impossible to visit all the archaeological sites to extract the information directly from the petroglyphs. Therefore, some graphic symbols are analyzed away from their natural context, by published photographs from books, magazines, and web pages, where they are often isolated from the rest of the accompanying graphic symbols. This complicates an accurate approach for the proposed meaning in this research. This research is inspired by the fact that several Rock Art stations had been located containing engravings of anthropomorphic figures in parturition position, other in state of pregnancy; many of them related to zoomorphic or sidereal engravings representing totemic images
