LA CONSTRUCCIÓN DE TEORÍAS CIENTÍFICAS: UNA DISERTACIÓN DESDE LO PRAGMÁTICO

Abstract

La construcción de una teoría científica es un ejercicio reflexivo y creativo que tiene como fundamentación la investigación exhaustiva, rigurosa y sistemática. El presente ensayo tiene el propósito de realizar una aproximación sobre el proceso de construcción de una teoría científica, partiendo de la revisión de algunos aspec-tos básicos, conceptos y cualidades que ilustran la edificación del andamiaje teóri-co de un postulado, ejemplificando su elaboración a través de un trabajo doctoral realizado previamente por los autores (en aquél momento en calidad de autor y tutor, respectivamente), el cual dio como fruto la construcción de una aproxima-ción teórica titulada: Teoría de la trasformación social con base en la educación universitaria del adulto mayor, en la cual se observan algunos de los aspectos a considerar en una teoría científica.

The construction of a scientific theory is a reflexive and creative exercise that is based on exhaustive, rigorous, and systematic research. The present essay has the purpose of making an approximation on the process of construction of a scientific theory, starting from the review of some basic aspects, concepts and qual-ities that illustrate the construction of the theoretical scaffolding of a postulate, exemplified its elaboration through a Doctoral work previously carried out by the authors, at that time as author and tutor, which resulted in the construction of a theoretical approach: Theory of social transformation based on the university edu-cation of the older adult, in which they observe some of the aspects of considera-tion when evaluating in a scientific theory.
