LA INVESTIGACIÓN CUALITATIVA EN LAS CIENCIAS SOCIALES

Abstract

La investigación cualitativa en las ciencias sociales tiene como centro al hombre, su praxis histórico-social. En este sentido, la investigación cualitativa ‒y aquí nos servimos de Heidegger‒ es retornar a la pregunta por el ente que hace la pregunta: el hombre (Dasein), y es en su práctica del vivir, que se pueden comprender los significados que constituyen su mundo. Este trabajo, por lo tanto, no pretende hacer una presentación metodológica, sino discurrir sobre sus fundamentos ontológicos-epistemológicos sin los que no es comprensible la particularidad del conocimiento producido en las ciencias sociales ‒ya Dilthey proclamaba su autonomía a las ciencias naturales‒. Un conocimiento, que es hermenéutico-comprensión del hombre histórico que pertenece a un mundo-de-vida compartido por un grupo de practicantes.

Qualitative research in the social sciences has as its center man, his historical-social praxis. In this sense, qualitative research -and here we use Heidegger- is to return to the question by which he asks the question: man (Dasein), and in his practice of living, that can be understood the meanings that make up his world. This work, therefore, does not intend to make a methodological presentation, but to discuss its ontologicalepistemological foundations, without which it is not understandable, the particularity of knowledge produced in the social sciences, and Dilthey proclaimed its autonomy to the natural sciences. A knowledge, which is hermeneutic-understanding of the historical man who belongs to a world of life shared by a group of practitioners.
