EL SEÑOR DE LOS HELADOS. DESCRIPCIÓN ETNOGRÁFICA SOBRE LA INFLUENCIA DE LAS REDES MIGRATORIAS EN LA COTIDIANIDAD DE LOS INMIGRANTES HAITIANOS EN VENEZUELA

Abstract

El artículo que comienza intenta demostrar la influencia de las redes migratorias sobre la vida cotidiana de los inmigrantes haitianos en Venezuela. Para esto, la investigación se apoyó en la observación participante y en entrevistas a profundidad, como herramientas centrales de exploración en campo. Los resultados dejan ver la ascendencia que tienen los diferentes tipos de redes migratorias sobre ámbitos esenciales de la cotidianidad de los inmigrantes tales como: el espacio laboral, la vivienda y la integración cultural.

These article aims to demonstrate the influence of the migratory networks on the daily life of the Venezuela`s Haitian immigrants. In this regard, this research was based on participant observation and on the deep interviews as central tools of fieldwork exploration. These results show the sway that different types of migratory networks have on essential areas of Haitian immigrant`s daily life, such as: work spaces, housing, and cultural integration.
