| en_US |
dc.description.abstract | This is kind of an experimental study conducted therapeutic trial in 31 patients (30 female, 1 male) carriers with moderate and severe osteoarthritis to evaluate the use of segmental neuromioterapia in patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA) and segmental spinal sensitization (SES), comparing with conventional treatment (physiotherapy). Patients were randomized into two groups. Group A: 15 patients with knee OA # of neuromioterapia treated (NS) surface warmer, analgesic electrotherapy, stretching and strengthening. Group B: 16 patients with # knees, more exercises received conventional treatment. SES The diagnosis was confirmed by the presence of the vast medial myotome, dermatome hyperalgesia to dominance in L4 - L5 and sclerotomes manifested as anserina bursitis. Results: When comparing the evolution of pain through VAS and improvement of joint range of motion of the knee is obtained that the experimental group presented an improvement of the initial VAS 7.60 ± 2.17 to a final EVA 1 90 ± 0.875 compared to the control group who present these mean initial 1.08 ± 6.86 and 3.26 ± 1.22 at the end of treatment. Likewise, the experimental group significantly improved the joint range of motion compared with the control group: AMA Start: GE (RD: 106.50, RI: 104.3) GC: (RD: 105.3, RI: 104, 8), the final AMA: GE: (RD: 114.50, RI: 111.6) GC: (RD: 107.9, RI: 104.8) Conclusion: Blocking paraespinoso is an effective therapeutic alternative for relief of pain and functional limitation in patients with knee osteoarthritis and SES improving the quality of life. | en_US |
