dc.description.abstractDeterminar la Calidad de Vida de los pacientes Diabéticos tipo 2 en la Sala de Hospitalización Piso 3 ala Este de Medicina Interna del Hospital Central de San Cristóbal, a través del instrumento de medición SF-36. Estudio prospectivo, observacional, transversal y descriptivo, que incluyó 162 pacientes diabéticos tipo 2, de acuerdo a criterios de la Asociación Americana de Diabetes (ADA), se aplicó el instrumento SF-36 previa autorización del paciente, con una base de datos y bajo el programa estadístico Epi-Info versión 2004. Se realizaron las determinaciones de Calidad de vida en la población estudiada. Población de 162 pacientes, sin diferencias significativas en cuanto al sexo, estado civil, con edad promedio de 59.22 ± 14.18 años. Las dimensiones más afectadas de la Calidad de Vida fueron la Función Física, Rol Físico, Salud General, Vitalidad y Dolor Corporal, estando en último lugar el Rol Emocional. La principal causa de hospitalización fue el pie diabético (51.23%) seguido de procesos infecciosos (12.34%). Las complicaciones crónicas macrovasculares los pacientes presentaron mayor tiempo de evolución de la DM-2 (p=0.0119) y más edad (p=0.0165) escalas de Rol Físico (p=0,0051) y Salud General (p=0,0322) y en menor proporción la Salud General, Vitalidad, Dolor Corporal y Función Social, y en las microvasculares la edad promedio de 59,79 años y el tiempo de evolución de la DM-2 fue de 11 años, se vieron afectadas las mismas escalas de Función Física (p=0,0810) y Rol Físico p=0,0420) en menor proporción la Salud General, Vitalidad, Dolor Corporal y Función Social. El 64.2% presentaban antecedentes de HTA. La calidad de Vida estuvo más afectada en la Función Física, Rol Físico, Salud General, Vitalidad, Dolor, Rol Físico y en último lugar el Rol emocional.en_US

Population of 162 patients, without significant differences as far as sex, civil state, with age average of 59,22 ± 14,18 years. The affected dimensions more of the Quality of Life were the Physical Function, Physical Roll, General Health, Vitality and Corporal Pain, being last the Emotional Roll. The main cause of hospitalization was the Diabetic Foot (51,23%) followed of infectious processes (12,34%). The chronic complications macrovasculares the patients presented/displayed greater time of evolution of the DM-2 (p=0.0119) and more age (p=0.0165) scales of Physical Roll (p=0,0051) and General Health (p=0,0322) and in smaller proportion the General Health, Vitality, Corporal Pain and Social Function, and in microvasculares the age average of 59.79 years and the time of evolution of the DM-2 were of 11 years, were affected the same scales of Physical Function (p=0,0810) and Physical Roll p=0,0420) in smaller proportion the General Health, Vitality, Corporal Pain and Social Function. The quality of Life showed more affecting in the Physical Function, Physical Roll, General Health, Vitality, Pain, Physical Roll and last the emotional Roll.en_US
