Estrategias gerenciales desde la perspectiva del personal directivo y docente de instituciones educativas colombianas

Abstract

Las estrategias en la gerencia moderna requieren de un proceso administrativo adecuado, para que los actores responsables sepan interpretar los objetivos y transformarlos en acciones mediante planeación, ordenación, dirección y control de actividades realizadas en las diversas áreas de las organizaciones, particularmente las educativas. El objetivo del estudio fue describir las estrategias gerenciales que deben ser consideradas en las instituciones educativas de básica secundaria en Santa Marta, Colombia, desde la perspectiva de directivos y docentes. Conceptualmente se fundamentó en criterios de autores como Núñez y Díaz (2017), Marín, Maury y Marín (2016), Robbins, DeCenzo y Coulter (2015), Griffin (2011), David (2013). La investigación fue descriptiva, con diseño de campo, no experimental y transeccional. La población estuvo conformada por 96 sujetos, entre directivos y docentes. El instrumento de recolección de datos fue un cuestionario tipo escala Likert, constituidos por 48 ítems, evaluado con criterios de validez y confiabilidad. Los datos fueron analizados utilizando estadística descriptiva. Los resultados indicaron que en general las estrategias gerenciales se ubican en categoría alta del baremo. Se concluye que las instituciones bajo estudio consideran necesarias las acciones de investigación, toma de decisiones, comunicación, liderazgo; los factores directivos, competitivos, políticos, legales y sociales; los directivos deben ejecutar las funciones de planificar, organizar, dirigir y controlar; desempeñar los roles interpersonales, informativos y de decisión, para cumplir los objetivos y alcanzar las metas con excelencia académica, en convivencia armoniosa.

The strategies in modern management require an adequate administrative process, so that the responsible actors know how to interpret the objectives and transform them into actions through planning, ordering, directing and controlling the activities carried out in the various areas of the organizations, particularly the educational ones. The objective of the study was to describe the managerial strategies that should be considered in the educational institutions of basic secondary in Santa Marta, Colombia, from the perspective of directives and teachers. Conceptually, it was based on the criteria of authors such as Núñez and Díaz (2017), Marín, Maury and Marín (2016), Robbins, DeCenzo and Coulter (2015), Griffin (2011), David (2013). The research was descriptive, with a field design, non-experimental and transectional. The population consisted of 96 subjects, between managers and teachers. The data collection instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire, consisting of 48 items, evaluated with validity and reliability criteria. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results indicated that in general management strategies are in a high category. It is concluded that the institutions under study consider necessary the actions of investigation, decision-making, communication, leadership; managerial, competitive, political, legal and social factors; managers must carry out the functions of planning, organizing, directing and controlling; perform interpersonal, informational and decision roles, to meet the objectives and achieve the goals with academic excellence, in harmonious coexistence.
