Percepções de gestores sobre as possibilidades de efetivação da educação permanente em hospitais

Abstract

Esse artigo tem por objetivo discutir as possibilidades de efetivação da Educação Permanente (EP) em hospitais. O estudo apoiou-se nas contribuições de autores sobre Educação Permanente, permitindo a problematização do entendimento dos gestores sobre o tema. Tratou-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa realizada por meio de um estudo de caso em dois entre os três hospitais de um município de médio porte de Santa Catarina, sendo um público e um privado. Participaram da pesquisa três gestores e a interpretação dos resultados foi realizada por meio da análise de conteúdo. Concluímos provisoriamente que a compreensão conceitual e metodológica dos gestores ainda é frágil, o que pode adiar a implementação da EP. Nessa direção, observamos também que a ideia de interdisciplinaridade precisa ser mais discutida para que a articulação dos diferentes saberes possa ocorrer e produzir um novo conhecimento. Finalizamos o estudo acreditando que seja possível transformar as práticas de saúde nos hospitais que investigamos, mas a prática da educação permanente não pode ser vista apenas como ferramenta de organização do processo de trabalho em saúde, na medida em que a EP é por si só um dispositivo de mudança.

This article aims to the possibilities of the implementation of Permanent Education (PE) in hospitals. The study was based on the contributions of authors on Permanent Education, which allowed the problematization of the managers' understanding of the theme. This was a qualitative study carried out by means of a case study in two of the three hospitals in a medium-sized municipality of Santa Catarina, being one public and one private. A total of three managers participated in the study, and the interpretation of the results was performed through content analysis. We tentatively conclude that conceptual and methodological understanding of managers is still fragile, which may delay the implementation of PE. In this direction, we also observe that the idea of interdisciplinarity needs to be more discussed so that articulation of different knowledge can occur and produce a new knowledge. We concluded the study believing that it is possible to transform health practices in the hospitals we investigate, but the practice of permanent education can not be seen only as a tool for organizing the health work process, the EP is in itself a device of change
