Lectura digital en los estudiantes de educación superior

Abstract

La inclusión de las tecnologías de información y comunicación (TIC) en la vida académica, de manera formal e informal, ha modificado las estrategias de aprendizaje significativamente en el estilo de leer. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo identificar las dificultades que presentan los estudiantes de educación superior con la implementación de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación en los procesos de lectura y escritura haciendo énfasis en la lectura en medios digitales, con el propósito de concientizar a mejorar los hábitos de lectura en la educación superior utilizando herramientas digitales; siendo esta una tendencia que impacta cada vez con mayor fuerza en nuestro ámbito educativo. La metodología utilizada para recopilar y analizar los datos fue el estudio de caso de estudiantes de la Universidad Nacional de Loja, Facultad de Educación Arte y Comunicación de la carrera de Informática Educativa, mediante una encuesta para la obtención de la información, dónde resaltó la lectura digital según el contexto para los trabajos escolares y redes sociales, independientemente del formato digital y los lugares de ejecución lectora, pero con mucho énfasis en el ahorro de tiempo y la percepción de economía con respecto a la lectura con textos físicos.

The inclusion of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in academic life, formally and informally, has significantly modified learning strategies in the style of reading. The objective of this research is to identify the difficulties that higher education students present with the implementation of information and communication technologies in the reading and writing processes, emphasizing reading in digital media, with the purpose of raising awareness among improve reading habits in higher education using digital tools. And this is a trend that impacts ever more forcefully in our educational environment. The methodology used to collect and analyze the data was the case study of students from the National University of Loja, Faculty of Education, Art and Communication of the Educational Computing career, through a survey to obtain information, where he stressed digital reading according to the context for the schoolwork and social networks, regardless of the digital format and places of reading, but with much emphasis on saving time and the perception of economics with respect to reading with physical texts.
