| en_US |
dc.description.abstract | The growth and development of a child are two sets of signs useful to determine the state of health of pediatric patients. Bone age is the most useful indicator to characterize rhythms and maturation times during growth biological maturity, since other indicators traditionally used, limited to certain stages of life and show great variability, especially during puberty. For this reason, the true biological age of an individual during their growth can only be obtained from your bone age, and estimate from the neonatal period until the end of growth. Given the great importance, this research was conducted at the University Hospital "Dr. Pedro Emilio Carrillo "de Valera in order to determine bone age in children with hypercalciuria aged between 2 and 14 years old. As the investigation focused on an observational, descriptive and cross-field model, because the data were obtained from children with hypercalciuria who attended the consultation of child nephrology. The results reflect the prevalence of hypercalciuria in females 51.7% (n = 15) male and 48.3% (n = 14). The delayed bone age in relation to chronological age was aged between 3 and 4 years (n = 9 /31, 03%) with 1-2 years between both ages, there were children with bone above his age chronological age (n = 4/14%) and others coincided both ages (n = 2/7%). | en_US |
