Análisis econométrico en la gravedad de un derrame petrolero y su contaminación ambiental. Caso de estudio: Campo Sacha - Ecuador

Abstract

El objetivo del estudio fue conocer la relación que guardan los impactos ambientales tanto directos como indirectos con la gravedad del derrame de petróleo ocurrido en el campo Sacha, Ecuador. Para la investigación se emplearon datos cuantitativos proporcionados por la empresa “CONSORCIO ARCOIL-GPOWER” desde enero 2014. Cuando se aplicaron los datos en el primer modelo propuesto se evidenció que la variable “impacto directo” guardaba una relación negativa, mientras la otra variable “impacto indirecto” resultó ser positiva y significativa para el modelo.

The objective of the study was to know the relationship between environmental impacts, both direct and indirect, with the severity of the oil spill in the Sacha field, Ecuador. For the research, quantitative data provided by the company "CONSORCIO ARCOIL-GPOWER" was used since January 2014. When the data was applied in the first proposed model, it was evidenced that the variable "direct impact" had a negative relationship, while the other variable " indirect impact "proved to be positive and significant for the model.
