Facilitadores, barreras y oportunidades en la implementación de la formación dual en Colombia

Abstract

El debate sobre la pertinencia en los modelos de educación Superior es cada vez mayor, factores como la globalización, el desempleo juvenil y la desarticulación al sector empresarial son temas asociados. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar factores que han condicionado la implementación del modelo de formación dual universitario en Colombia, la metodología utilizada fue de tipo cualitativa a través de entrevistas y grupos focales aplicados en las Instituciones de educación superior que imparten programas de formación dual. Los resultados muestran que existen 9 aspectos relevantes. Estos resultados aportan a la construcción de un marco teórico del modelo en Latinoamérica, así mismo al entendimiento de la formación para el cierre de brechas academia empresa y como motor de la sofisticación del aparato productivo del país.

The debate on the relevance of higher education models is growing, factors such as globalization, youth unemployment and the dismantling of the business sector are issues associated with it. The objective of this study was to analyze the factors that have conditioned the implementation of the dual system education and training model in Colombia, the methodology used was qualitative through interviews and focus groups in the different institutions of higher education in Colombia, that provide dual training programs. The results show that there are 9 relevant aspects to be taken into account in the debate. These results are a contribution to the construction of a theoretical framework of the model in Latin America, and also contribute to the understanding of the usefulness of such training for the closing of gaps between school and business and as the engine of the sophistication of the productive system of the country.
