Migración y cuidados

Abstract

El artículo analiza la relación entre migración femenina y cuidados, considerando partiendo del rol de las mujeres como cuidadoras universales y analizando la función social del cuidado en la organización social, y las desigualdades y condiciones de explotación que caracteriza esta salida laboral para las migrantes. Se releva en especial las consecuencias del cuidado transnacional para las migrantes y sus grupos familiares.

The article analyzes the relationship between female migration and care, considering starting from the role of women as universal caregivers and analyzing the social function of care in social organization, and the inequalities and conditions of exploitation that characterize this employment opportunity for migrants. The consequences of transnational care for migrants and their family groups are especially highlighted.
