ANÁLISIS DE LA INTERDISCIPLINARIEDAD PRESENTE EN EL MARCO DE LA EMERGENCIA POR COVID-19 EN URUGUAY

Abstract

Uruguay logró sortear con bastante éxito la primera etapa de la crisis sanitaria impuesta por el COVID-19, un problema complejo que puede analizarse desde un abordaje interdisciplinario. Dos hechos, vinculados a la actividad académica, resultaron fundamentales para su contención: las autoridades sanitarias buscaron el apoyo de la academia y hubo una rápida respuesta de la comunidad científica para incrementar las capacidades analíticas y la vigilancia epidemiológica. Este trabajo analiza los actores vinculados a diferentes estructuras académicas existentes o nuevas, y las acciones y dinámicas interdisciplinarias, en la emergencia por COVID-19 en Uruguay, durante el primer trimestre de la emergencia sanitaria.

Uruguay managed to get around the first stage of the health crisis imposed by COVID-19 quite successfully, a complex problem that can be analyzed from an interdisciplinary approach. Two events, linked to academic activity, were fundamental for its containment: the health authorities sought the support of the local academy and there was a rapid response from the scientific community to increase analytical capacities and epidemiological surveillance. This work analyzes the actors linked to different existing or new academic structures, and the interdisciplinary actions and dynamics, in the emergency due to COVID-19 in Uruguay, during the first quarter of the health emergency.
