J. RANCIÈRE Y E. LACLAU: DOS MODOS DE CONCEPTUALIZAR LA VACUIDAD

Abstract

Este artículo tiene por objetivo problematizar la lectura que de Jacques Rancière hace Ernesto Laclau. Hacia el final de La razón populista, única obra en la que Laclau se refiere a los postulados de Rancière, señala dos aspectos en los que en el planteamiento del filósofo francés se acerca al suyo; y, a su vez, se refiere también a otros dos en los que Rancière se distanciaría de su enfoque. Pretendemos sostener que lectura que Laclau realiza de Rancière es deficiente, tanto de los postulados a partir de los cuales trata de acercarlo a su pensamiento como de aquellos en los que se distancia de él.

The aim of this article is to problematise Ernesto Laclau's interpretation of Jacques Rancière. Towards the end of On Populist Reason, the only work in which he refers to Rancière’s theories, Laclau highlights two aspects in which the French philosopher’s proposition bears some similarity to his own. At the same time, he refers to another two in which Rancière's perspective differs from his. The aim of this article is argues that Laclau’s interpretation of Rancière is flawed in terms of the theories he formulates to try and highlight the similarities with his own thinking as well as those that reveal the differences.
