IMPACTO PSICOLÓGICO DEL CONFINAMIENTO POR COVID-19 EN MIGRANTES: REVISIÓN SISTEMÁTICA

Abstract

El confinamiento ha causado un impacto en la salud mental de los migrantes, debido a los factores de vulnerabilidad a los que se encuentran expuestos. El objetivo principal de la presente investigación fue analizar el impacto psicológico del confinamiento por COVID-19 en migrantes. Para ello se utilizó el método de revisión bibliográfica sistemática realizando una búsqueda en las bases de datos Scholar, Elsevier, Scopus y Ebsco, analizando un total de 28 artículos relacionados con la temática. Los resultados arrojaron que un 36% de la producción científica en torno al tema, se realizó en América del norte, un 25% en Europa, un 18% en Latinoamérica, un 18% en Asia y un 3% en África. A su vez, las investigaciones realizadas están conformadas por 43% de artículos escritos en español y 57% en inglés. En los resultados predominó el desarrollo de trastornos de ansiedad, trastornos depresivos y estrés postraumático, relacionados con otros factores de vulnerabilidad como el cierre de fronteras, acceso a servicios básicos, desempleo, racismo, xenofobia y la violación de sus derechos, situaciones exacerbadas en el contexto de confinamiento por COVID-19.

Confinement has had an impact on the mental health of migrants, due to the vulnerability factors to which they are exposed. The main objective of this research was to analyze the psychological impact of confinement by COVID-19 in migrants. For this, the systematic bibliographic review method was used by searching the Scholar, Elsevier, Scopus and Ebsco databases, analyzing a total of 28 articles related to the subject. The results showed that 36% of the scientific production on the subject was carried out in North America, 25% in Europe, 18% in Latin America, 18% in Asia and 3% in Africa. In turn, the investigations carried out are made up of 43% of articles written in Spanish and 57% in English. The results were dominated by the development of anxiety disorders, depressive disorders and post-traumatic stress, related to other vulnerability factors such as the closing of borders, access to basic services, unemployment, racism, xenophobia and the violation of their rights, exacerbated situations in the context of confinement by COVID-19.
