Aproximación a nuevas concepciones teóricas sobre la universidad latinoamericana

Abstract

La universidad es una institución que ha sabido reinventarse y traspasar diferentes etapas, aportando a la generación y transferencia de conocimientos en la sociedad donde está inserta. En este contexto, este trabajo pretende realizar un acercamiento de carácter teórico a nuevas perspectivas sobre la educación superior, presentándose una caracterización de dos importantes concepciones: la tecnocrática y la social, las cuales no se presentan de manera pura o aislada, más bien se traslapan y convergen entre sí, compitiendo al mismo tiempo por su propia consolidación.

The university is an institution that has managed to reinvent itself and go through different stages; contributing to the generation and transfer of knowledge in the society where it is inserted. In this context, this work aims to make a theoretical approach to new perspectives on higher education, presenting a characterization of two important conceptions: technocratic and social, which are not presented in a pure or isolated way, rather they overlap and converge each other, competing at the same time for their own consolidation
