Referentes mundiales en sistemas de gestión de residuos sólidos

Abstract

El presente artículo muestra los resultados de una investigación cualitativa que utiliza el análisis documental, en el que se identifican y describen los sistemas de gestión de residuos sólidos que mejores resultados están reportando en términos de aprovechamiento y reducción de impacto en el medio ambiente, igualmente, muestra el panorama de la gestión de éstos en América Latina. Se concluye, que países como Alemania, Suiza, Bélgica, Japón, Países Bajos, Suecia, Dinamarca y Noruega son los líderes en esta gestión, entretanto, para América Latina se vivencian bajos niveles de recuperación y tratamiento.

This article aims to identify and describe the solid waste management systems that have the best results in terms of use and reduction of the impact on the environment, also shows the panorama of their management in Latin America. A documentary analysis of the existing literature is made; taking into account scientific articles and government reports. The analysis reported that countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Japan, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Norway are the leaders in this management, meanwhile, for Latin America there are low levels of recovery and treatment.
