dc.description.abstract | The objective of this article is to explain the socio-economic development of Latin American nations through the quality of their research, for which statistical inferences were made with multivariate analysis as a research method. The main results are the strong relationship of socio-economic development with the publications ranking in the mainstream databases; dependence on this ranking is strengthened by scientific production and citation rate. In this sense, Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Argentina are leaders in this regard, in order to have a reference for the rest of the Latin American countries, as a strategy to increase their socio-economic development | en_US |

| en_US |
