Propuesta de participación comunitaria en la prevención del dengue a los habitantes de la Parroquia Tres Esquinas, Trujillo, Venezuela

Abstract

The objective of this investigation oonsisted in identifying the knoweledge, attitudes and practices (KAP) that the community's inhabitants have about the dengue's disease,their messures to prevent and control, in "La Parroquia Tres Esquinas, Trujillo, Venezuela", The methOOology was basad 00, in a descriptived investigation wiIh a testing groond designo The sample was 200 family leaders choosen from the whole families from the community (469). For this survey, sn instrument like a questionnaire was designed, including (31) items; such questionnaire was made with closed questions with the choice of multiple answers. The vafidity iIseIf, was induced throught the 3 expert's judgement. The investigation's results gave a average of 46 years age,43% are hosewives, the habitat, mostly houses 95,5% where cement ftats are predominant with 60,5%, cement ftoors with 60,5%, cement also like predominant material ovar the waBs with 95,5%, potable water throught aqueduct and general basic services in 100%. Conclusions: a stage is present in which there is the wright knowledge about the disease and vector, high actituds an goOO practices, this is evident as a result of being an afected area by two different kinds of dengue. tt is recommended fo design sn educationat plan within the active partiápation of health institutions and investigation groups.

El objetivo de esta investigación consistió en identificar los conocimientos, actitudes y, prácticas (CAP) que tienen los habitantes sobre la enfermedad del Dengue, ~us medidas de prevención y controlen la parroquia Tres Esquinas, Trujillo I Venezuela. La metodología consistió en una investigación descriptiva I con un diseño de campo, moc;ialidad proyecto factible. La muestra fue de doscientos (200) jefes de familia seleccionados del total de las familias de la comunidad (469). Para este estudio, fue diseñado un instrumento tipo cuestionario con un total de treinta y un (31) preguntas; dicho cuestionario fue elaborado con preguntas cerradas con alternativas de respuesta múltiple. La validez del mismo, se determinó a través del juicio de tres (3) expertos. Los resultados de esta investigación fueron una media de 46 años, 43% son amas de casa, el tipo de vivienda consiste tipo casa 95,5%, donde predomina techo de platabanda con un 60,5%, el piso es de cemento con un 60,5%, material predominante en las paredes exteriores un 95,5%, el agua potable llega por medio de acueducto 93% y contando con servicios básicos el 100% Conclusiones: Se presenta un escenario en el cual existen conocimientos adecuados en torno a la enfermedad y al vector, buenas actitudes y prácticas de prevención adecuadas.
