dc.description.abstract	The main purpose of this note is to describe the observation on a peculiar defensive behavior in a juvenile snake specimen assignable to Tantilla melanocephala, coming from an Andean population in the Cordillera de Mérida, Venezuela. Currently, information about the ethology of species in this genus is very scarce.	en_US
